From the moment I met Annie & Jonathan I WANTED to do their wedding. I mean this happens to me quite often when I am intrigued by a client’s story of how they met and what their vision for their wedding is.
Lucky for me that they booked me and trusted me with their day for I was super excited to witness their beautiful ceremony and awesome reception. Of course I did play a part of it, but the crowd always helps me if they are loose and ready for some fun.
From a very intimate ceremony to an upbeat reception it was absolutely beautiful and I was so honored to be involved.
The day of the wedding started off pretty rough for me because in the morning when I was moving a swing out my neighbors backyard the neighbors dog bit me in but! This actually helped me later on when the bride was a little anxious about going down the aisle and I asked her « did you get bit in the but today? ». She said « No ». Then I said « Then you got nothing to worry about ».
I don’t know if this helped of not… but it did make her smile!
The ceremony went without a hitch and was beautiful. Annie & Jonathan decided to have a silent wedding where the guests are encouraged to not take photos and take in the moment. I am a big of this and do think it does bring a lot more focus to what is actually happening. It was truly a beautiful moment and her friends and family were so happy to be a part of it!
The moment the beautiful ceremony was done we moved into the lobby for the cocktail hour then off to the reception room in Delta Hotel Montreal. We are able to transform the room with a gentle touch of up-lighting and make a noticeable difference in the room.
From the moment I started with the introduction of the bridal party I knew this was going to be a good crowd & a fantastic night. Definitely a smaller wedding but the room was rich with love and that is the beauty of small weddings. The guests that are there actually want to be there and don’t feel they have to be there. That is the huge difference!
Have a look at their entrance!
From that moment on it was just straight fun and didn’t stop.
The playlist for the night was all over the place which I love and the most important thing the Bride definitely represented on the dance floor!
FOR ALL THOSE BRIDES OUT THERE THAT WANT A LOT OF PEOPLE DANCING ON THE DANCE FLOOR GET OUT THERE!!! Who doesn’t want to dance with the bride on her wedding night? Guaranteed success for sure!
There were some really nice speeches as well and some little games here and as well a nice little first dance.
If you have watched the videos you can see that Annie & Jonathan are very much into Japanese culture. They are very much into tea as well (which was a vital part of the ceremony) and part of their thank you gift which was delightful! They actually met at anime exhibition and started to date after that. The rest is history! Love with a splash of nerd!
All in all a beautiful ceremony, super fun reception and a perfect day for the bride & groom. Was very happy to be involved with this wedding!
Merci pour la confiance Annie et Jonathan! Here is their reference to me.
Last video of the night all dancing… What a great night!
Here are some photos of the night. Thank you for reading and be sure to comment and share!
