How much can you drink at the party?
Now there are a ton of rules to follow with this so please pay attention cause it gets pretty complicated. The point is to have fun at a wedding so keep that in mind. Nobody wants you to be the guy that passed out in the grass or be rushed to hospital. Have fun and try not to make a total fool of yourself. Remember photos and video will catch everything so if you’re being a nut there will be proof!
(Notice the bride not being too thrilled with her guest wearing RED?to top it all off)
These are my rules to follow so keep in mind this is from someone who has been drunk at a wedding or two.
1. NO DRINKING AND DRIVING!!!?
2. Judge the crowd. If you are drinking all alone at a wedding then you just have a problem.
3. If the bride and groom have paid for open bar please don’t take that as an open invitation for you to get TRASHED. They want you to have fun at the wedding and not be the one everyone is talking about the next morning at the family breakfast.
4. If you’re the groom, bride or in bridal party please, please, please get the work done for the day sober (photos, ceremony, speeches) then do what you feel. I don’t need to tell you how un-classy a bride or groom looks when they are wasted falling or swearing during a speech. Be big boys and girls about it and do what makes sense to you.
5. Go with the majority. If you see that there is a cash bar and no wine on the table during dinner it’s a pretty good indication that they don’t want people drinking during the wedding. Good luck with that one.
6. Know your own limits. If you know you’re a mess when you drink then by all means control yourself.
7. Here’s a helpful chart here to help you deside how much to drink at a wedding. I know it’s pretty classless, but let’s be honest here you’re looking for me to give you a green light to get smashed at a wedding.
Have fun and share

As a photographer, it’s my job to be there. Would you get drunk at your job? No. Neither will I. As a guest… that’s a different story 😉 I agree with knowing your limits, you don’t want to be remember as « that guy who got drunk and passed out on the stairs »
